I’ve been with Hostgator for a few years now and can’t say that I have ever paid for SSL’s….🤔 I also use Cloudways and Siteground, which are better, but some of our clients are on a tight budget or don’t see the point of paying a lot more for hosting. I think hosting companies like Hostgator and Bluehost do have a place in the market. You get what you pay for I suppose..

To anyone with the problem, passwd: user 'openvpn' does not exist, I found the answer from a miracle of God, when I tried putting in openvpn as my username that's what it would say, do NOT delete putty as I did and almost had to restart the process, the terminal should've given you the password above automatically generated, if you use that it should work, for me it said, I for some reason took a picture of it but not a full one, I only have a segment to describe to you, "remember this password (insert password here)" If you need more help on where it is, some text below it said, " specify your Activation key (or leave blank...) and so on, again I only took a picture of the segment from yesterday, the password should be after, remember your password. if you need anymore help reply to me, even if its years later I might respond

You did not mention at all that for this to work long term people would need to have a static IP address. Which is something that most ISP around the world do not provide by default and you have to specifically request, sometimes it will even cost you an extra. If you do not have a static IP address and still link your domain name to your IP address, then the website will sooner or later become unavailable as your IP address changed over time. To solve this you'd have to manually change the DNS records every time your IP addresses changes (which is not a predictable or regular event).

I bought business plan with shared hosting last time and when I had my site migrated successfully and launch new site simple wordpress blog newly created and use simple plugin like updraft it doesn’t works out and site cpu and ram goes up which cause the server to down and site goes offline again and again then I realise that their servers are very bad or super cheap very less to handle simple plugins like updraft, wordfence to use. I report the problem to support and they say these plugins doesn’t work on our hosting and use alternative or upgrade to cloud Lolz while Other hosting basic plans even runs sites smoothly runs all, I initiate immediately for refund and move to other hosting which runs smoothly for many years for me. Never gone back to hostinger then. Maybe cloud ones are different but never going to buy again their shared hosting plans it’s worthless. Most UA-camrs just promoting them for good commissions they paying for marketing So I don’t believe them. I had used several hostings from couple of years and my best experience was with Host armada most of all best, verpex, site ground and cloud ways.
